20/11/2013 One of the things I love so much about this place is that nature’s dramas take place right outside my window. Sometimes they are beautiful, sometimes cruel, but they are always awe-inspiring.
One such drama happened this afternoon. I heard a squeal and looked out of the kitchen window; to my surprise I saw a stoat trying to manoeuvre a rabbit much larger than itself that had just been sitting on the lawn (an elderly one by the look of it) under the bush about a metre away. Viewer discretion advised: this video contains footage of a dead rabbit which some might find unpleasant or upsetting.
